The Hardware

The Hardware

The hardware combines a repurposed Lululemon two-way mirror with a custom driver board and Raspberry Pi, decoupling the original system to enable full control over display and computation.

The Software

When an open-source Android app proved difficult to maintain due to deprecated libraries, I built my own web app while maintaining the visual structure and expanding functionality with custom widgets and curated content.

To refine scale and layout, I tested the interface on TVs and my own workstation, iterating on CSS and UI proportions to ensure the design translated accurately to the mirror.

The Final System

The completed mirror delivers real-time weather, stocks, commute duration, and curated news in a glanceable interface optimized for mornings and daily transitions.
